Through this marathon, the cadets were able to focus on True Parents through challenging their physical limitations, and feel that they connected to Heavenly Parents with absolute faith and obedience despite being in difficult circumstances.
Due to the emotions and efforts of the UPA cadets, seventh year cadet Sachiko Minami won the first prize in the women's 5-kilometer marathon category, while the Suehara Komei won third in the men's 5-kilometer category.
“I ran to the end with the spirit of serving True Parents, so this award is meaningful to me.'' Sachiko cadet said in a marathon appearance. “I will work harder to maintain my physical strength and become a hope for True Parents."
Through the marathon, the cadets vowed to train their minds and bodies to become hopeful future leaders, and to develop a strong mentality that resembles Heavenly Parents and True Parents.
