Sunhak UP Graduate University collects, uses, and processes personal information in accordance with Article 15 (Collection and Use of Personal Information) and Article 24-2 (Restrictions on the Processing of Resident Registration Numbers) of the Personal Information Protection Act. Except where otherwise required by law, personal information will not be processed for purposes other than those for which consent has been obtained. To protect donors’ personal information and handle related complaints, the University has designated a department and a person responsible for personal information management.

Consent to the Collection and Use of Personal Information

Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information Personal information is collected and used for the following purposes:
a. Issuance of donation receipts, confirmation of donor recognition and benefits, identity verification when providing donor services, delivery of notices, and other related services.
b. Processing payments for the Development Fund, including withdrawals through the CMS (Cash Management Service) system.
Personal Information Collected Name, Resident Registration Number, date of birth, address, telephone numbers (home, office, and mobile), email address, relationship with the University, department/major, student ID number, donation (pledge) amount, purpose of donation, payment period, payment method, pledge date, employer, department, position/title, bank account information for CMS transfers (account name, account number, and the Resident Registration Number of the account holder), and fund management method.
Retention and Use Period Personal information will be deleted upon the individual's request. However, personal information and donation payment information may be retained for a certain period as required by applicable laws and regulations, including for the purpose of issuing donation receipts.
  • Right to Refuse Consent and Disadvantages of Refusal: The data subject has the right to refuse consent to the collection and use of personal information. However, if consent is refused, the individual may be excluded from receiving donation receipts for tax deduction purposes and from donor services and related benefits.

  • Purpose and Legal Basis for the Collection and Use of Personal Information: Resident Registration Numbers are processed for the purpose of preparing donation receipt statements and issuing donation receipts for year-end tax settlement, in accordance with Article 113(1) and Article 208-3 of the Enforcement Decree of the Income Tax Act, Article 58 of the Enforcement Rule of the Income Tax Act, and other applicable laws and regulations.
